How to create a scrapblog slideshow

We are going to create a digital collage called All about me showing our likes/dislikes, introducing some friends or relatives, or showing our favourite music, sports, etc.

1-First, enter the following web address:

http://www.scrapblog.com/

2-Now, click on Sign Up to create a new account. Fill in the boxes with a nickname (username, email, password…) and tick on the agreement terms. That’s it! You’re in. Now click on the Create a Scapblog pink button.

3-In the next screen you have to select a project: click on Make a Slideshow.

4-Next step is selecting a theme. You can click on them to preview. This software is free to use but most themes require users to purchase credits. Choose a free theme as for example: Boutique Chic Single, School Supplies, School Locker, etc. Look for the Free ones.

5-Now. Follow step 2: Add some photos. You can either upload them from your computer or grab them from Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, etc. It is also possible to import a video.

6-Customise you scrapblog: The selected theme has certain items such as number of pages, stickers, text, shapes and backgrounds to choose and make it personal. Read the instructions in the yellow bubbles.

7-Once you have finished you can share your project online or print it out. You can also capture the slides with a screen capturer (Jing), save them in your computer and then print them out or insert them in a Power Point or Open Office presentation.

8-Information we can include in our project: name, age, nationality, friends, hobbies, likes, dislikes, relatives, pets, favourite things (books, movies, sports, TV series, music, etc). You have to make a comment on every picture / image you include in it. Explain what / who is in it. Five slides should be OK.

I hope you have fun with this new tool! Start working on it as soon as possible. See ya in class!
